P. is a brand created by Marcus Johnson for mountain biking, where he is focusing on the idea of a 3 in 1 Jacket. I like the idea of a 3 in 1 jacket because of the change in functions you can get from it and believe its a good garment to be looking at.

What is your brand concept?

My brand concept is refining specic garments for specific tasks, rather than general 3 in 1 coat.

what sports do you focus on the most and why?

I'm focussing mainly on Mountain biking for the time being as i've found from experience a lot of the clothing isn't up to the required standard.

what market do you think needs more focus on in the future?

I think use of technology needs to be focused on more, like protection and anti fungal.

name one of your design cues and expand?

My main design cue is UNIQUE, and yes It's quite a general statement. However I think that it's extremely important to realise that nobody rides the same, and that every person is different in how they want their body to move, meaning I want the clothing to be specific for Downhill biking at the moment, and will be patterned accordingly.

between aesthetics and functionality whats more important?

For my brand, I think that function will always come before form.

where do you get inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from clean edges, and the complexity of rock formations.
