My Design

Even though I have some ideas for fabric choice, I want to design my blazer first so it can influence choices I make for the material. The things that I want my blazer to be:

- Oversized

- Floaty feel

- Sophisticated but can be casual

- Classic, effortless look

- Neutral Colours, due to most of my wardrobe being bright

- Something Unique

I decided to start with a basic blazer look and develop from there. I didn't change much of it as I thought it was important to keep the features of a blazer, such as pockets, etc. I have changed from having lapels to a Shawl Collar, as it gives a similar effect but I thinks looks better. In addition, I thought double-breasted would be more flattering and help the oversized, floaty look I want.

Overall, I think this look can be executed by me and hopefully make my construction skills a bit stronger and make me more confident in my making.
