Constructing Blazer Part 2

THE POCKETS

In this construction section we had to make a classic blazer pocket with jets and a flap. This type of construction had to be accurate otherwise the pocket wouldn't fit properly. I considered of 'a dart' and 'side seam' panel to make it more realistic to the final piece. I found this to be easier than first thought but I know I need to take my time and be patient with the whole process. I think I was successful with make he pocket and its key to making the blazer more functional, as everyone needs pockets.

Overall, I will be having on of these pockets in my final blazer but not with a flap, as I think the jets in itself look nicer and make the pocket more secretive. I need the pocket bag to be big enough for a phone and usual items found in a pocket, but this will be looked into on my next toile.
