Better, but still needs areas to look at/explore! I reverted back to the original toile I did for this project, as I thought it fitted on me better and there was less alterations to make. After discussing my toile with my Pattern Cutting Teacher, she gave me some areas that I hadn't notice before to look at. The alterations I made was:
- Reduced the bottom by 5cm to the hip line
- Increase the length of where the double breasted would start by 2cm

- Increased the armhole by 2cm either side (extended the shoulder higher and the bottom longer) to make a more relaxed look
- Increased the sleeve to 'fit' the new armhole
I kept the dart in the arm hole and it gave nice shape around the top of the blazer but keep the rest over-sized, as this is the style that I want to achieve. In addition I didn't change the arm length as when I add the lining I think its the right amount of hem to have pulled up (4cm).

Overall, I think its an improve from both pervious toile I have produced. The length is more flattering and its giving the look that I wanted. However, there is still a problem with the armhole and shoulder line and the shawl collar needs more of a look at (as seen in the picture to the left). I'm thinking of doing another toile, just to make sure that I am going to be making something accurate and well made. Things I need to change or explore:
- The possibility of adding more structure to the back (could be down to choice of fabric though)
- the shawl collar to reduce in size and more curved

- Sort out the armhole and sleeve from original toile pattern
- Make sure the shoulders fit well
- Think of pocket positioning on the next toile (going to do just jetted pockets, as more sleek)
