Sample: Hood

Last project I did I fully focus on creating the perfect hood for a jacket. I want to expand this idea to all my projects now, as I feel it something I haven't fully accomplished yet what is the best way to construct a hood that fits well, stays on and protects from the elements. I used the template from my last hood and updated it to have the design I wanted for this Jacket. This was very simple and I 5 thread overlocked the pieces together, even though I will probably sonic welt/tape the final one.
Its massive, and apparently looks like ET's head. I'm not sure whether its the fabric choice or the pattern cutting. However, I have removed 2cm from the middle panel and made it more curved, so its not so square looking and stays closer to the face. Will have to make another sample of the hood to check the fit, but should be fitted hopefully.
