Fabric Shopping

The main focus for this shop was to get the fabric for the tennis dress, which I wanted to be a jersey with some structure and hopefully breathable qualities. I traveled down to the Soho area in London, as there are many good quality fabric shops around there that I've been to before and trust to have unique types of jersey. However, as it was Easter Saturday most of the usual shops were closed, such as Cloth House, so it felt like it was going to be 'one of those days' where nothing productive was going to get done. The only reason to why I came down to London was to look into fabric.

Misan Textiles was open and I found the perfect fabric and a new textiles shop that I will be using in the future. They had a lot of fabrics I hadn't seen before and looked very good quality. I got a jersey, which has a double layer affect, with a tiled effect on top. It is slightly off white which isn't exactly the colour of choice (light grey) but was part of my colour palette. Even though I had a freak after splashing the cash on this fabric, I knew that in my gut it would be something different and hopefully will work.

I'm getting all my other fabrics online, from Tia Knight and ProFabrics. I still need to find a Grey Airtex Mesh for the lining of the jacket and a stretch mesh for the base layers in a light pink.
