Sample: Dress Waistband

I decided to practice a little bit for the waist band and this was something that I have struggled with from the beginning of the project. I knew that this fabric was a lot different to the original one I used, so this sample needed testing out. This is due to the thickness of the spacer mesh like fabric and whether the gathered effect would be visible.I believe that it has worked well for the fabric. The gathering isn't very obvious but I think I like that its not too gathered as this would effect the garment more. Also, I think the thickness of the material wouldn't allow it to be that ruffled. I'm still not sure if I am constructing this waistband properly as there are still areas that I believe needs a little guiding, but this is something I will look into for next year.
