So for someone who has a phobia of portrait and has never really looked into Renaissance art for that reason, I knew today would be hard for me. Its weird, yes... but I've never liked portraiture paintings and grand place for some reason, but I knew I needed to go see this beautiful place. Its even more weird with the fact that I love Sculptures which can sometimes be considered more terrifying (probably due to those Angel Demons in Doctor Who). However, I can say that I didn't feel slightly uncomfortable within the museum at all and maybe this phobia had pasted. There were areas I didnt look a lot at just incase but most of it I enjoyed. The museum is one of the largest in the world, within the smallest country in the world. There was a massive collection of Greek and Roman sculpture and home to the Sistine Chapel. I wasn't allowed to take pictures in the Chapel which is fairs, I could take it in properly and enjoy a rare experience. I would recommend this if ever going to Rome, especially to have a tour guide to skip the queue and get additional information.
